I have always been drawn to the stories and the cultures, in fiction and non. That curiosity is what led me to anthropology, and it is what drives the work I do today at Context Consulting, LLC.
My academic foundation reflects a lifelong dedication to understanding the past with rigor and care. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Georgia, followed by a Master of Arts in Social Science and a Certificate in Public History from Georgia Southern University. I am currently completing my PhD in Anthropology at the University of Florida, where my dissertation centers Indigenous perspectives of the Contact Period Southeast. Research has never been just an academic exercise for me. It is a way of listening carefully, asking better questions, and honoring the complexity of human experience across time.
Before founding Context Consulting, I spent years working as a professional archaeologist, gaining hands-on expertise across a broad range of cultural resource management projects. That field experience, paired with my training in public history and ongoing doctoral research, gives me a well-rounded perspective that I bring to every project I take on.
I founded Context Consulting because I believe that quality research and ethical practice go hand in hand. I am passionate about working alongside clients, Tribal nations, and descendant communities to produce work that is not only technically sound, but genuinely meaningful. Whether you are navigating a compliance requirement or seeking a deeper understanding of what lies beneath the surface, I am here to guide that process with expertise, transparency, and a real love for this work.
Every story deserves to be understood. Let’s put yours in context.
